How to Draw Cartoons at the LA County Fair – Pencils 2 Pixels Exhibit

  I was so excited to visit the Pencils 2 Pixels exhibit during our recent visit to the LA County Fair.  What kid doesn’t love their cartoons?  The exhibit displayed every step of the animation process from early pencil sketches to clay sculptures for 3D animation.  The entire building is full of fascinating displays and interactive activities for the kids. Best Drawing Supplies For Kids

  I just love the adorable drawings that my daughter creates.  I think my drawers and boxes will be filled for years with her wonderful doodles, drawings and art work.  She regularly writes me letters that she delivers and I keep them in a letter box she created for me. Now that she’s in kindergarten and learning how to read and write, my letters have wonderful drawings and words too!  The word she writes the most is love.  Guess that gives you a sense of how precious my little sweet pea is.  Enough of the mom bragging… time to share

Drawing For Real Life – Architecture For Kids

  I visited the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles with my daughter.  Sunday, September 8th,  was the last opportunity to see their current exhibit A. Quincy Jones: Building for Better Living. There are so many great opportunities to appreciate art around us and I love taking the time to share and explore them with my 5 year-old daughter. Drawing for kids is mostly a hobby.  By visiting the Hammer, I wanted my daughter to understand how drawing fits into everyday life and introduce her to one of the careers possible in the arts. Drawing With Children – Mother & Daughter Artists

  Finding time to draw with my child is something I look forward to.  This weekend my daughter delighted herself in writing and illustrating two little books.  She gathers paper and has me “bind” it with staples and off she goes to write and draw.  One little book was about tying her shoes and the other about the Powerpuff Girls – she’s 5 with diverse interests ;o).
